Roundmans CEM promises to sell 2.5 billion LED light source products by 2023

· The energy saving effect of this 2.5 billion LED light source products is equivalent to the energy generated by 75 medium-sized thermal power plants.

· Landdevans has been sold to a Chinese consortium including LED packaging manufacturer Mulinsen Co., Ltd. Through this acquisition, Round Vans' LED light source products will be able to obtain cost-effective LED components.

Lang Dewans, one of the world's leaders in general lighting, has made a commitment to the Clean Energy Ministerial Conference Global Lighting Challenge (GLC). At the 8th Clean Energy Ministerial Conference Beijing Summit (CEM8), Roundmans announced that by 2023, the company plans to sell a total of 2.5 billion high-efficiency LED light source products.

“We have taken the initiative to make this commitment and are proud to be part of the Global Lighting Challenge. LED light sources are not only environmentally friendly but also highly economical. Today's LED light sources are combined with intelligent lighting solutions. It is possible to reduce energy consumption and costs by 90%.” Thomas Dreier, Head of Global R&D at Landwells, said: “Lundvans has invested a lot of resources in developing the potential of LED light sources in the future, which will continue to expand in energy saving. The imagination space consumed."

The Clean Energy Ministerial Conference (CEM) is a forum of countries committed to transforming global clean energy production and consumption. The Global Lighting Challenge is an initiative launched in the winter of 2015 with the goal of promoting the use of 10 billion high-performance, high-quality, cost-effective lighting products to contribute to climate change.

If Roundmans reached the goal of selling 2.5 billion LED light source products by 2023, its energy-saving effect is equivalent to the energy generated by 75 medium-sized thermal power plants. [1]

The sale of Osram's sale of Roundmans to the Chinese consortium was completed on March 1, 2017 and began to generate economic benefits. The consortium consists of strategic investor IDG Capital, LED packaging manufacturer Mulinsen Co., Ltd., and Yiwu State-owned Capital Operation Center. Landwells will continue to expand its product portfolio of LED light sources, LED luminaires and intelligent lighting. As one of the world's largest manufacturers of LED components, Mulinsen will support Landvewans' future product development strategy and complement each other.

[1] 2.5 billion LED bulbs refer to sales between 2017 and 2023 (including 2023); energy consumption is based on comparison with traditional lighting energy consumption.
